# AI transformation is an organization problem. Run it as a practice.

AI is arriving in how we manage, lead and organize, and bringing it in has to be shaped and led. The MK Practice is a structured process you run on your own unit to do that: diagnose it, work the topics that decide whether AI sticks – roles, decision rights, processes, how change anchors – and run your agenda on live work.

*We call it a practice because you don't read it – you run it.*

**The organizational side of AI, not an AI course.**

A worked plan for the problem on your desk within 48 hours, or your money back  ·  Founding price locked for as long as you stay

## If any of these is on your desk, this is for you.

**Your first agent goes live this quarter.**
Nobody has decided who may overrule it, on what grounds, or who answers when it is wrong.

**Your team is not resisting the tool.**
It is resisting being redesigned without a say, in a hand-off nobody rewrote with them.

**Your team is saving hours every week.**
Nobody has decided what the hours are for, or what "good enough" means for work nobody wrote alone.

**Your rollout has a plan.**
It does not have a story, so the unit is writing its own.

None of these is a tool question. They are organization questions, decided in one unit at a time, by the person who runs it. That is where the Practice starts: one unit, one problem.

*Only one in four employees say their organization has communicated a clear plan for AI (Gallup, 2026).*

## How the Practice works

Three moves, repeated on your own unit. AI-powered, expert-led: the legwork is done with AI, and the judgment behind every diagnosis, plan and method is a practitioner's, tested in real organizations – the same division of labor we recommend you build in your own.

### 1. Diagnose

You bring the organization question on your desk, where you want to go and where you stand. Your diagnostic turns that into a plain-language finding with weighted focus areas: where your unit actually needs work first.

### 2. Work the topics

Every focus area links to a working topic: decision rights, roles, processes, team routines, change anchoring. Research-grounded frameworks, canvases, step-by-step tools. Each topic carries yellow action cards – concrete, effort-estimated action bundles you personalize to your situation.

### 3. Run your agenda

The yellow cards you adapt land in your personal work agenda, which becomes your living transformation plan. Not notes you file away: a plan you run. This is the part subscribers stay for.

![The MK Practice workspace: your most relevant working topics, ranked by relevance, with the yellow diagnostic action card](https://managementkits.com/hubfs/Screenshot%202024-03-13%20182248-1.png "The MK Practice workspace: your most relevant working topics, ranked by relevance, with the yellow diagnostic action card")

### Yellow means act.

White and grey are for reading. **Yellow is for doing.** In your first working session, within 48 hours of joining, you bring the organization question on your desk, run your first diagnostic and hold your focus report. Your first yellow card lands in your agenda before the session ends: a worked plan, not a reading list. From there the workspace ranks the working topics by relevance, so you keep starting where it matters.

Nothing is buried. The grey ones simply wait their turn.

## Every operating model is now an AI question. Answering it is your job.

When an agent enters a workflow, someone has to decide who may overrule it, which hand-offs change, what the quality bar is for work nobody wrote alone, and what the saved hours are for. That is organizational work, and it is exactly the territory your organization expects you to lead. AI courses teach tools; the Practice runs this side.

The market is paying for it. PwC's 2026 AI Jobs Barometer puts the wage premium for AI skills at 62%. The organizational half of that skill set is the rarer half.

### What you run it with

Your diagnostic and a personal focus report, re-run when your situation changes
A first track built for your unit: one milestone, five actions, about eight hours of work
The working topics behind it: decision rights, roles, processes, team routines, change anchoring, with frameworks, canvases and step-by-step tools
Yellow action cards and your personal work agenda
A question box on every topic and a direct line for your first 90 days
Guidance on your problem within 48 hours, and one 1:1 session with the founder each year
Every new topic and update through your year

Who has run it

Individuals at ABB, AXA, Dell, Klarna, Nestlé, Otis, Harley-Davidson, Bristol Myers Squibb, SOS Children's Villages and the World Bank have run their organization work with the Kits.

## Founding Membership

We're opening the Practice to individuals for the first time and taking the first cohort in personally – and closing it once it's full.

### What happens after you join

**Hour 0.** A personal note from Olaf, not an autoresponder.
**Within 48 hours.** You hold a worked plan for the problem you brought: workspace set up, diagnostic run, your focus report in hand, your first track built, and the first action in your agenda. A working session, not a tour.
**Days 7 and 21.** Short check-ins on what moved.
**Your first 90 days.** A direct line to the founder.
**First track complete.** The MK practice certificate – it certifies implemented work, not videos watched.

*Expensing it? $990 sits inside typical development budgets. The questions below carry a one-line business case you can forward to your manager.*

The Practice Note: one organization problem that AI has put on a unit leader's desk, one piece of research behind it, one move you run on your own unit that week. Two a week until 6 November, then weekly. No course, and no pitch beyond this page.

## Built and curated by a practitioner, run with AI – in that order.

Management Kits is built by Olaf Bach, who has spent two decades designing organizations with global companies and international schools, most recently across a multi-year school partnership now in its third year, and who teaches organization design and co-intelligence at the University of St. Gallen. Management Kits has been running for more than a decade; over 3,000 people have signed up to work with its Kits. The AI in the product does the heavy lifting; the judgment behind every diagnosis, plan and method is human and tested in real organizations.

Who it's for: people inside organizations who hold an AI-and-organization problem right now – transformation, OD, L&D, team effectiveness, the manager whose unit has to make AI work – and want a structured process rather than another course. It's built for one person: you. Team and organization-wide programs exist separately; [write to us](mailto:info@managementkits.com?subject=MK%20Practice%20question) if that's what you need.

## Questions people ask before they join

Who is the Practice for?

People inside organizations who hold an AI-and-organization problem right now – transformation, OD, L&D, team effectiveness, the manager whose unit has to make AI work – and want a structured process rather than another course. It's built for one person: you. Team and organization-wide programs exist separately; get in touch if that's what you need.

Is this an AI course?

No. You will not learn prompting or tools here. You will decide who may decide, redesign the hand-offs an agent now sits in, set the quality norm your team reviews against, and anchor the change – on your own unit. The AI in the product does the diagnostic legwork; the work is organizational. A three-day AI-strategy course costs more and ends when the cohort does; the Practice runs for a year, on your unit.

Is there an AI assistant in the workspace?

Not today, and we say so. The AI works on our side: your diagnosis, your focus report, your first track and the guidance you get within 48 hours are produced with AI under our hands and signed off by a person who has done this work for two decades. What you see in the workspace is the result. If that changes, this page will say so.

What happens after I buy?

Within 48 hours you are in your first working session. You bring the organization question on your desk and tell us where you want to go and where you stand; you run your diagnostic, hold your focus report, and leave with your first track built and the first action in your agenda. From there: check-ins on days 7 and 21, a direct line to the founder for your first 90 days, and one 1:1 session a year.

What will I work on first?

In your first session you bring the organization question on your desk. Your diagnostic ranks the working topics against it, and we assemble your first track from them: typically decision rights, roles, process redesign, how managers model the new way of working, and how the change anchors. The certificate documents that track once it is implemented.

Can I expense this?

Usually, yes: $990 sits inside typical professional development budgets. The one-line business case: *"A structured process (not a course) that diagnoses our organization's needs and turns them into an executed action agenda – at a fraction of a single consulting day, with a money-back guarantee."* Forward that to your manager, or write us for a formal note.

What does the practice certificate certify?

Implemented work, not videos watched. When your first track completes – diagnostic run, actions executed through your work agenda – you receive the MK practice certificate documenting what you actually did.

What if it's not for me?

Within 48 hours you hold a worked plan for the problem you brought. If it isn't there, or it isn't worth it to you, one email within your first 30 days and the full amount is back. No questions asked.

Is the price really locked?

Yes. Founding Members keep $990/year for as long as their subscription runs, whatever the future price is.
